The Spring Covid Booster

The spring booster campaign officially commenced on 21 March and runs until the end of June.

Should you be invited to attend, you will receive an invitation requesting that you book an appointment at least 7 days before you reach 6 months from your prior booster dose.

Eligibility
The following individuals are eligible:
• Anyone aged 12 or older who is immunosuppressed - as defined in tables 3 and 4 of the Green Book
• Anyone aged 75 or older
• Anyone resident in a care home for older adults

Please note that this is not being organised through the Surgery.

Face Masks

Whilst it is no longer law to wear a face covering, we request where position that you continue to one when you attend the surgery for an appointment. We are committed to protecting both staff and patients as we move out of the Pandemic.  We ask wherever possible you come alone to your appointment and arrive just before your appointment time. Please note that we are currently unable to offer toilet facilities.  Please do not attend the surgery if anyone in your household has received a positive PCR result.

We also have a supply of visors if you would prefer to use one of these instead of a mask.

Thank you for your co-operation as always

Appointment Booking

Unfortunately we have made the decision to suspend appointment booking at the reception desk and we have had to restrict all of our face to face appointments. This is to minimise the risk of Coronavirus spread to our staff and patients. Instead we are running a daily triage system that all clinicians within the practice will be reviewing and contacting patients where appropriate.

WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT ANY WALK IN PATIENTS NOW OR IN THE FUTURE AS THERE MAY BE TIMES WHEN THERE IS NO GP ON SITE.

We ask that all patients call 0116 237 5089 to request a telephone triage appointment, this will be subject to availability on the day. You will be asked some screening questions and the reason for your call. You will then be triaged by a Clinician who may deal with your request over the phone or possibly decide to see you face to face.

Due to the increased demand for appointments our phonelines will be extremely busy and it may take you some time to get through to the reception team, we apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you.

appointment_1The practice aims to offer appointments on the same day for patients calling before 10:00. Appointments can also be booked in advance.

Appointments are for one person only and for one medical condition. If you feel you may need longer please inform reception at the time of booking.
